KCI/KBI 100 series

The KCI/KBI 100 series are compact, modular absolute rotary encoders without integral bearings, designed for direct integration into motors and other rotating systems. The KCI models provide single-turn absolute position feedback, while the KBI versions feature a through-hollow shaft design for additional mounting flexibility. Their low-profile, lightweight construction makes them ideal for high-dynamic applications such as robotics, servo motors, and compact automation equipment. Using a robust scanning method and a purely serial interface (EnDat 2.2), these encoders deliver high-resolution, instant position data at power-on—eliminating the need for reference runs.
